TENNIS FOR ALL

Tennis at Amesbury is for everyone, the whole school receives tennis lessons as part of the curriculum and many pupils have more than one coaching session a week. Tennis is taught by our expert team of seven coaches comprising two full time pros and five part time pros.

We start your little one young, with balloon tennis. Whatever the weather,  either outdoors on the all weather courts, or in our sports hall. We have a total of eight courts across astro (4), grass (2), indoor (1) and hard surface (1).

Amesbury has an outstanding track record for nurturing young talent. If your child loves and adores tennis and has a real skill, we will find it and help them build their talent and love for the game.  We have a track record in providing a flexible timetable to support a tennis and academic education at the same time.  In the last five years we have developed numerous county players and a number of Old Amesburians have gone on to build professional tennis careers. These include; Jodie Burrage, currently Great Britain women’s number 2, world ranking 85,  Emily Lindh Gallagher world ranking 442, and Dan Cochrane ATP tour player. Current county talent includes Frank Johnston and Hayden Dares both Surrey County players.

You don’t need to make a hard choice between a solid academic prep school education and access to quality tennis coaching, you can combine both at Amesbury.
