Amesbury proudly hosted the prestigious Surrey Schools Tennis Festival this year on Friday 4th May at 2pm on their brand new Tennis Court.
7 teams took part from Putney, Amesbury and St.Georges. The standard was high and was played outside in the glorious sunshine! Most teams were mixed boys and girls and the whole competition was a doubles round robin format.
Results were as follows
St.Georges 1 59 points winners
Amesbury 1 – 54 points Runners up silver medal
St.Georges 2 – 3rd – Bronze
Andy Warry reported that this was the first year that Amesbury had hosted the event and he was looking forward to building the event even bigger and better next year.
