U9B Cricket v Hoe Bridge: 4 May

Won by 21 runs

Amesbury went out to field to start a competitive match against Hoe Bridge today. Saul was a notable bowler for Amesbury with a maiden over, whilst Thomas and Felix also made impressive contributions with the ball in hand.  Fielding was strong from all the boys with singles being prevented and two run outs being taken early in the opposition innings.  Two wickets from more impressive bowling followed and Hoe Bridge closed on 51.

Charlie and Louis came out to bat and made a solid start for the team.  Noah and Felix followed to contribute more runs to the total.  Good running meant there was little chance of any run outs for the home side this afternoon.  Wilf and Saul came in to pile on the pressure with 20+ runs during two overs.  Amesbury won by 21 runs.
