Batter of the match – Tamsin
Fielder of the match – Lily
Score – 16 – 12 to Amesbury
It was a damp and rainy afternoon at PGS, but they were lucky enough to play the whole match. They played 2 innings of 22 balls. The team was captained by Victoria and she won the toss at the start and chose to field first. There was great bowling from Lily and Tamsin stumped out 3 of the opposition at 2nd post! PGS scored 6 and that was the score the U8Bs had to try and match. They batted very well, every member of the team scored at least half a rounder. Francesca and Maisy scored while rounders and the roast of the team scored halves, to a total of 9 1/2 at the end of the innings. It was a quick turn around due to the rain, PGS scored another 6 rounders, making their total 12. In the 2nd batting innings, Millie scored every time it was her turn to bat and Victoria scored a great rounder. This made the teams total 6 1/2. Although a much closer second innings, the final score was 12 – 16. It was a fantastic game and super team work.
