The match was played in near perfect conditions at Felton Fleet. The girls batted first scoring 5 rounders with full rounders from Immy, Lily, Tilly and Bibi. The bowler was excellent, giving away very few half rounders and the fielding at 2nd base was tight with many well hit balls being stopped short preventing us from scoring more.
Felton Fleet came in to bat scoring only three rounders with strong fielding from all players notably Georgie at backstop to Alice at 2nd who were a great combination throughout the match.
The girls then came back into bat swapping Bibi for Isabella who had played for the C’s in the first innings. Gold star to Imogen who hit the ball out past 1st base where they had no fielders allowing herself plenty of time to make a full rounder. Other notable rounders came from Isabella, Alice and Tilly. We scored 6 rounders making a total of 11.
Felton Fleet had an uphill struggle which proved to be the case with excellent bowling from Lily and three girls stumped out at first base by Tilly. They managed to score 5 rounder’s making a total of 8.
A very enjoyable match with great team spirit and involvement from every member.
