U11B Cricket v Hoe Bridge: 3 May

The Amesbury side were beaten in a match that had them on the back foot before a ball was bowled, being reduced to 7 players. The boys were admirable in their efforts however, putting in every effort to make the opposition earn their victory.  Dexter and Joe in particular showed fight with the bat in hand, remaining unbeaten for 4 and 3 runs respectively. Amesbury’s total ended at 4/70.

With the ball, Joss was a standout, conceding only 6 runs from 2 overs. Hoe Bridge reached their total 3 wickets down with 4 overs to spare.

Thanks to Hoe Bridge for a good game and for excellent sportsmanship in lending Amesbury fielders.

James Baccarini, Gap Student
