Amesbury U10A 153 for 2 beat 41 for 6 Seaford U10A

On a beautiful summers afternoon, Amesbury hosted Seaford with a large crowd of spectators on looking. Seaford were not used to the hard ball and ‘normal’ cricket so an arrangement was made that Amesbury would bat first. 20 overs were bowled with Amesbury making 153 for 2. Archie and Ollie made a solid start before Archie (12) was run out by a fabulous through by the fine leg fielder. Ollie carried on his innings making 13. Jake (18), Gabriel (10 not out) and Sam (5 not out) all contributed with the bat along with extras.

Lunch was taken in the shade nad play resumed knowing that the bowling was going to be shared yet those that didn’t bat would be bowling more overs. Not knowing what the opposition would be like batting, one over spells meant that everybody bowled one over and the remaining overs shared by the non batters. Wickets for Jake (2) in his one over, Jack (2) in his 3 overs along with 2 run outs and some superb fielding by Ethan restricted Seaford in the score board.

A solid game of cricket enjoyed by all present.
