With only a few matches left in the season, it was disappointing to see the girls not giving their all this match. The fielding was slow and half-hearted, with sloppy passing and rushed decisions. Feltonfleet played with more focus and desire for the game and as a result took the lead in the first innings. After a thorough discussion of where we had made mistakes, the girls returned in the second innings with renewed determination and vigour. Lily batted incredibly well, scoring 4 rounders from 4 balls, while Betty also added some valuable rounders to the scoresheet. As we went into field, we played with greater focus. Isobel and Lily stumped numerous players out at first post, while Matilda also made some strong decisions as bowler.
A great second innings which saw us finish with a 19 1/2 – 19 1/2 draw.
