From Monday 11 to Friday 15 November 2019 Amesbury school took part in ‘Anti-Bullying Week’. Activities throughout the week were co-ordinated by Head of PSHEE Carrie Munday and culminated in ‘Odd Sock Day’ on Friday 15 November. Mrs Munday reflected:
“It was fabulous to see the children take part in the Anti-Bullying Alliance ‘Odd Sock Day’ again this year. Whilst we work hard to ensure our children are always kind to each other, ‘Anti-Bullying Week’ is always a great opportunity to remind our pupils of the importance of ‘kindness’ and the role they should play to keep Amesbury as a positive, safe and happy community. Opportunities for the pupils to voice their own concerns have been very useful and have highlighted any areas of peer behaviour that may need an extra focus. Pupils have shown great maturity throughout the week and have enjoyed exploring the theme ‘Change Starts with Us.’”
