We are delighted to announce that Amesbury has been recognised by Microsoft as a showcase school. We are proud to be one of the only 52 schools from the state and independent sectors in the UK who are members of this elite group. It is a measure of the way in which Amesbury has developed the use of digital technology to enhance teaching and learning for all our pupils.
Amesbury recognises that our pupils are growing up in a digital world. We therefore believe that their school life and the way they learn should reflect that. We aim to model a balance of using digital tools and resources alongside more traditional ways of learning so that our pupils acquire lifelong learning habits and the ability to use digital tools effectively.
The use of the Microsoft online environment has allowed the school to continue close to normal operation during the recent periods of remote learning and continues to facilitate hybrid working and learning for pupils and staff required to isolate. With all our resources for admin, teaching and learning stored digitally online our staff and pupils work in an anytime, anywhere, any device environment.
The Microsoft Showcase School community is global.
