The U11A team, despite missing a few key players today, put in a fantastic performance against Highfield. Despite not batting that confidently in the first innings, their fielding game was incredible. Hannah at backstop, alongside Lara at first post, managed to stump out 6 players almost on the trot thanks to their quick reactions and great passing skills. While Lily should be mentioned for her calm and steady game as bowler, on her first outing for the A team. Libby and Gracie played really well as Near Deeps, with some great quick catches made and some lovely stumpings. Luckily for Amesbury we managed to have only 2 Highfield players left in the game on their final ball. Daisy played a confident game in the deep, making some strong catches and moving the game promptly where needed.
The second batting innings saw us connecting with greater confidence. Daisy, Lara, Libby and Bo made some great strikes and took advantage of some silly fielding mistakes to add impressively to our scoresheet.
