This week the girls were up against Felton Fleet and they were all very eager to get the match underway. Amesbury started off the match batting. It was some amazing hits by the girls, as well as speedy running to second post, that helped the girls go into the second innings ahead by 2 rounders! It was also awesome to see all the girls score throughout the match, and in particular well done to both Sophie and Emily for their smart thinking while batting and tacking risks that payed off! The girls also showed off their skills when it came to fielding. Lily kept her cool while bowling, making sure every ball was accurate and making it hard for the opposition to easily score. As backstop, Francesca made smart decisions under pressure, as well as passing the ball back to bowler very quickly, limiting the batter’s opportunity of scoring! Merry and Maisy both worked fantastically while fielding, with great long barriers and accurate passing to other teammates demonstrated by both girls! It was a fantastic match to watch and a super job by all the girls. Well done on the great win!
