This match was a tightly fought encounter which was made difficult by the fact that the girls seemed to have forgotten what the sun was (who can blame them) and so were distracted at times.
Amesbury batted first and posted a respectable score of 6.5 rounders with Milly scoring 2 and Ruby 1.5. Some tight fielding from Amesbury restricted Felton Fleet to 5 rounders in their first innings. Excellent catches from a number of girls left Felton Fleet with only 2 batsmen at the end, a great effort.
The second innings was equally as tight as the 1st but It was Amesbury who came out on top with a final score of 12.5 rounders. Felton Fleet batted well but some quick thinking from Amesbury meant that rounders were hard to come by and the game finished 12.5-9.5 in Amesbury’s favour.
