The Under 11 Bs came up against a very strong Highfield team. Captain, Dexter, led from the front and Rory fielded with great energy. There were good bowling performances from Joss and Joe. However, Highfield raced to 187 for 5 off 20 overs. The Amesbury innings began well, Dexter and Tom batting very sensibly whilst keeping the scoreboard ticking over. However, a series of unfortunate run outs meant the innings lost momentum and we were bowled out for 58.
Although this was a comfortable victory for Highfield, the boys are to be congratulated for the manner in which they played the game. They all bowled at least two overs and they all batted. They maintained their enthusiasm and humour(!) throughout. Well done.
