U9 C vs Aldro
The Amesbury boys turned out for there match on a day that did not look promising for cricket. Thankfully, after threatening to set in, the rain eventually subsided and play was under way.
Amesbury batted first and were restricted to 240 due to some very tight bowling and fielding from the Aldro outfit. Amesbury batted diligently though, with everyone contributing in there partnerships.
Next was Aldro’s turn to bat. Amesbury put in a monumental effort in the field, with special mentions to Ailig and Theo for bowling superbly, and to George for some unbelievable fielding saves.
With a low score to defend, Amesbury were always going to have there backs against the wall, and with some cunning footwork and shot placement, Aldro ran down there total.
