Under 8A v PGS

Won 16-13
Batter: Chloe
Fielder: Florence

A fantastic match today for the U8A team. The girls didn’t have a great first innings, with very few girls hitting the ball and therefore, scoring very little. Chloe worked her socks off and managed to sneak in a few rounders. PGS on the other hand had a super innings, they had some great hitters and scored 7 rounders in total. This left us chasing by 2 rounders.
Thankfully, the second innings saw us come alive. The girls hit superbly, with Chloe scoring 4 1/2 rounders and Isobel K scoring 2 1/2. The rest of the team also connected well with the ball and all risked really confidently on backwards hits. As we went into field, the girls played incredibly well. Ysabel worked well at backstop, rolling the ball well to second post. Emily, Chloe, Sophie and Meredith also made intelligent decisions in the field. The second innings saw us take the lead and finish with an impressive 16 – 13 win.

Well done girls.
