Lost 13 ½ to 19
Fielder: Bibi
Batter: Amy
Lady of the Match: Bibi

The match was played under blue skies in near perfect conditions. We fielded first for 30 good balls, demonstrating some great throwing from Bibi to Charlie on 2nd base ably backed up by Sarah and Orla. Annabel struggled with her bowling, giving away some half rounder’s but all the team were very supportive. The opposition did have a huge variety of heights and sizes making it difficult to keep any consistency with pace and height of throw. Seaford scored 8 rounder’s in their first innings, now it was our turn to bat.

Seaford leant us a player to even up the numbers who kindly scored 2 rounder’s for us as well as full rounder’s from Bibi and Amy. All the girls were very aware of each other and not running anyone out. The score after Amesbury’s first innings was 7 ½ rounders to Seaford’s 8.

Seaford came in again to bat scoring a hefty 11 rounder’s this time. We swapped bowlers round to give Annabel a break, using Bibi and Sarah who rose to the challenge. Our last innings at batting saw 2 ½ rounder’s from Bibi, 1 ½ from Amy and the rest from no balls finishing up with 6 rounder’s. A good, friendly game with the distinct possibility of winning on home ground.
