It was a beautiful sunny afternoon, the U11A team had a great warm up as the match was not due to start until 2.45pm. The U11A team lost the toss at the start of the match and Ditcham Park chose to field first. The pressure was on to set a high score batting for Ditcham Park to beat. Daisy scored a total of 4 rounders, Libby scored 2 and some half rounders from Alice and Hannah. It was when the U11A team fielded that showed fantastic team work and communication. Bo worked hard in 3rd deep covering 3rd and 4th post as well. It was a fantastic pairing with Lara and Hannah, they got many of Ditcham Park out at 1st base.
In Ditcham Park’s batting innings, the U11A team got the whole team out. When fielding, they called for the ball and supported each other, directing where the ball needed to go. In Ditcham Park’s first innings they scored 2 ½.
In the second innings the U11A team scored 6, more super rounders from Daisy. Ditcham Park scored more in their second innings, a total of 4 rounders. Great bowling from Olivia and Grace and Libby worked as a super pair as near deeps.
