2nd Rounders v Barrow Hills: 10 May

The 2nd team put in an impressive performance today against Barrow Hills.  Going in to bat first we saw some lovely hits from Issy, Dora, Sophie L and Immy giving us a good start to our innings.  The girls looked for the gaps in the field and duly took advantage of these; risking well and adding some lovely half rounders to the scoresheet.  The girls went on to field impressively.  Issy worked well at Backstop, sending some accurate balls to the Near Deeps, who stumped out a number of Barrow Hills players who had chosen to risk.  While our Deeps also made some lovely retrievals; using their long barriers to great effect and communicating well.

A somewhat closer game, however, a very well deserved 28 1/2 – 14 win for Amesbury. Well done to the whole team.
