1st Rounders v Barrow Hills: 10 May

A really superb match for the 1st team. The girls fielded first and wasted no time in dismissing numerous Barrow Hills girls, thanks to some great work between Lily at Backstop and Isobel at 1st post.  Matilda bowled calmly and made excellent decisions leading to more Barrow Hills girls being stumped out at their posts. While Honor and Roxy worked really well together as Near Deeps, communicating well and dropping into position with ease.  Having scored 9 rounders, the girls were pleased with their performance.

As we went into bat, Lily started things off with some outstanding hits into the deep.  While Matilda, Emily and Betty also connected superbly adding to the scoresheet.  The girls risked well and made use of backward hits to add half rounders here and there.

After two innings, the score finished at an impressive 20 1/2 rounders to Amesbury and 6 1/2 to Barrow Hills. Well done girls!
