U9B Cricket v Edgeborough: 27 April
Lost: 234-248
It was a cold afternoon with the sun hiding behind the clouds as the U9B team made their way to Edgeborough for their first match of the season. The team decided that they would bat first in order to know the score that they would need to chase. There was lots of enthusiasm in the field with the team talking to and encouraging one another. Some tight bowling, alongside energetic fielding, with several outstanding catches taken to much celebration from other members of the team. This allowed the team to restrict Edgeborough to a relatively small total. When batting the boys set about collecting runs towards the target with gusto, putting the ball into all areas of the field. As a result the team were able to reach the total in relatively short order allowing the remaining players to carry on scoring runs.
The boys thoroughly enjoyed their first match of the season and played some excellent cricket.
