U10A Cricket v Hoe Bridge: 3 May

Lost Hoe Bridge 146-3 Amesbury 63-6.

The U10As faced their second opposition of the year in Hoe Bridge. With the coin toss won by Amesbury the boys eagerly went out to field. With a brilliant start by Cameron and Jake, Hoe Bridge had their backs up against the wall. Sadly a resilient and gutsy performance from the next partnership kept our bowlers frustrated. They ran between the wickets superbly and left the scoreboard ticking at some pace. With a partnership of 136 they finished the game not out and a total of 146-3.

Amesbury went out to bat with a big score to chase. The opening partnership weathered a little storm but found themselves out to some strong bowling. Amesbury kept their heads and worked hard to build an innings. Unfortunately no one managed to convert their solid defence into significant runs. Jake kept his wicket nicely and finished not out but their score wasn’t threatened. They boys were contained and frustrated by the lack of runs.

Credit to Hoe Bridge for a very well played match.
