U8A Rounders v Ripley Court: 4 May

Won 16-9   Batter of the match: Florence Fielder of the match: Chloe   

What a superb match to start off the rounders season.  The girls showed a great knowledge of the rules and wasted no time in playing a calm and steady game to stop Ripley Court from scoring at second post.  Chloe played a fantastic game at 2nd post; where she stumped players out and demonstrated her lightning fast reactions.  Florence bowled incredibly well to some tricky lefties, while Ysabel also did a great job at backstop.   

As we went into bat, the girls really impressed with their quick sprinting on their backward hits, to score some great rounders.  Florence, Chloe and Isobel K hit some huge balls into the deep, again giving us a strong lead.   Once the girls had found their flow there was no stopping them, they ran away with the lead. showing an excellent understanding of the game.   

Very well done girls on a great win!
